Anthony Powell

Anthony Powell (1905–2000) was a British novelist, editor and literary critic. He was educated at Eton College and Oxford, and also worked as a screenwriter and biographer. His work includes numerous novels, memoirs and essay collections. His major work is generally considered to be the twelve-volume novel sequence *A Dance to the Music of Time*.
