Annette Mierswa

Annette Mierswa, born in Mannheim in 1969, previously worked in film, theater and journalism, including as a journalist and camera assistant. She has written books for children and young adults since 2008. Her novels have received several awards, including the Bad Harzburg Eselsohr Young Adult Literature Prize in 2024. She has also received a fellowship from the German Literature Fund and a Hamburg Future Fellowship. Her books have been translated into several languages. Her novel “Lola auf der Erbse” was adapted into a film. Mierswa trained in poetry and bibliotherapy as well as psychological counseling.
