Anne Weber, born in 1964 in Offenbach am Main, is a German author and literary translator. She studied French literature and comparative literature at the Sorbonne and worked for several French publishing houses. She has published her own books in both German and French and has translated works by authors including Pierre Michon, Marguerite Duras and Sibylle Lewitscharoff. Her book “Annette, ein Heldinnenepos” received the German Book Prize in 2020. Her other distinctions include the Heimito von Doderer Literature Prize, the 3sat Prize, the Kranichstein Literature Prize, the Johann Heinrich Voß Prize, the Eugen Helmlé Translator’s Prize and the 2022 Leipzig Book Fair Prize for her translation of Cécile Wajsbrot’s “Nevermore”.
