Anne Butterfield

Anne Butterfield, born in Leeds in 1958, is an English author and a biologist with a doctorate. She has travelled to countries including Nepal, Nicaragua, Canada and India, where she taught English to Buddhist monks for several months. In 2001, she walked the Camino de Santiago for the first time. In 2010, she undertook the approximately 800-kilometre route from the French-Spanish border to Santiago de Compostela again. Her first book is an account of this pilgrimage.
