Anne Ameri-Siemens

Anne Ameri-Siemens, born in 1974 in Frankfurt am Main, studied political science and earned a doctorate in the field. She worked as an editor for the Süddeutsche Zeitung’s jetzt magazine and as a writer for SZ-Magazin and SZ Wochenende. She also contributed to the culture section of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung. Her 2007 book, »Für die RAF war er das System, für mich der Vater – die andere Geschichte des deutschen Terrorismus«, became a Spiegel bestseller and received the International Corine Book Prize. The documentary »Wer gab euch das Recht zu morden?«, based on the book, was nominated for the Grimme Prize in 2008. Her other publications include »Ein Tag im Herbst. Die RAF, der Staat und der Fall Schleyer« (2017).
