Anna Langfus

Anna Langfus (1920–1966), born Anna-Regina Szternfinkiel in Lublin, was a Polish-born writer who wrote in French. After studying textile engineering, she worked as a mathematics teacher in France. A Holocaust survivor, she addressed her experiences in her literary work. Her novel *The Lost Shore* (*Le Sel et le soufre*; German: *Gepäck aus Sand*) received the Prix Goncourt in 1962.
