Anna Funder

Born in 1966, Anna Funder studied German, English literature and law in Melbourne and Berlin. She has worked as a freelance writer since the late 1990s. Her first book, »Stasiland« (2002), won the Samuel Johnson Award. Her novel »All That I Am« (2014) was an international bestseller and received, among other honours, Australia’s Miles Franklin Literary Award and six further awards. The novel draws on the mysterious deaths of two German resistance fighters in exile in London. Funder’s work has been translated into 25 languages.
