Ann Brashares

Ann Brashares studied philosophy at Columbia University in New York but left her studies for financial reasons and worked for several years as an editor at an American publishing house. She began publishing her own books in 2000. She is best known for the young adult series The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, about four friends. Her first novel for adults, The Last Summer, became a New York Times bestseller in the United States.
