Anika Beer

Anika Beer (born 1983) worked as an author, editor and neurobiologist. She published several novels for young adults and adults. Her work at a university inspired her to incorporate scientific subjects such as immunology, neuroinformatics and tissue engineering into her fiction. Beer grew up in Oerlinghausen near the Teutoburg Forest and learned to read at the age of three. At eight, she began writing her own stories on a typewriter. After graduating from secondary school, she lived in Spain for some time.
