Angela Duckworth

Angela Duckworth, born in 1979, studied neurobiology at Harvard University and neuroscience at the University of Oxford. She earned a PhD in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, where she also taught as a professor. In 2013, she received a MacArthur Fellowship. Duckworth worked as a consultant for organizations including the White House and the World Bank. She also founded the nonprofit Character Lab for research into character development and served as its scientific director.
