Andrew Lane wrote more than 30 novels for young readers and adults. He is best known for the eight-volume Young Sherlock Holmes series, which was sold in more than 44 countries. His work also includes novels based on the television series Doctor Who and Torchwood, and some of his books were published under pseudonyms. Before turning fully to writing in 2013, Lane worked for the British Ministry of Defence, including in intelligence and counterterrorism. He has an extensive collection of Sherlock Holmes books.
