Andreas Neuenkirchen

Andreas Neuenkirchen, born in Bremen in 1969, is a journalist and author. From 1993 onward, he first worked as a freelance culture journalist for newspapers and city magazines in Bremen, and later as an editor for print and online publications in Munich. He has written several nonfiction books and novels related to Japan, including the bestseller »Gebrauchsanweisung für Tokio und Japan«. His other books include »Codename: Sempo: How a Japanese Diplomat Saved Thousands of Jews« and »Völlig losgelöst: Wie Karaoke die Welt eroberte«. He has also worked as a writer, consultant and editor on numerous international television and film productions.
