Andreas Holzem (born 1961) is a German church historian. He studied history, art history, Catholic theology, communications and philosophy. After earning his doctorate in 1993 and completing his habilitation in 1997, he was appointed professor of medieval and modern church history at the Faculty of Catholic Theology of the University of Tübingen in 1999. His publications include “Krieg und Christentum. Religiöse Gewalttheorien in der Kriegserfahrung des Westens” (2009).
