Andreas Heller (born 1956) studied theology, philosophy, sociology, modern German literature, and health and nursing sciences. In 2007, he was appointed professor to the first European chair in palliative care and organizational ethics at the Alpen-Adria University in Klagenfurt, Vienna, and Graz. Heller is married and has two daughters.
