Andreas Altmann

Andreas Altmann is a German travel writer and author. Before turning to writing, he worked as an actor at Munich’s Residenztheater and Vienna’s Schauspielhaus. His notable books include “Das Scheißleben meines Vaters, das Scheißleben meiner Mutter und meine eigene Scheißjugend,” “Gebrauchsanweisung für die Welt,” “Verdammtes Land” and “Reise durch einen einsamen Kontinent.” Altmann has received, among other honors, the Egon Erwin Kisch Prize, the Seume Literature Prize and the Travel Book Prize.
