Andrea Stift-Laube was born in 1976 in southern Styria, Austria. She studied linguistics and German studies as well as cultural studies. As a writer and publicist, she published several novels along with prose, poetry, and essays; her works include “Auf Watte.” She was involved with the editorial team of the literary magazine “Lichtungen” and contributed to publications including “Der Standard,” the “Wiener Zeitung,” and “Die Presse.” Her literary work has received several awards and grants, including the Theodor Körner Prize, the Rotahorn Literature Prize, and the manuskripte Literature Grant.
