Andrea Maria Schenkel (born 1962) is a German crime writer. Her debut novel, Tannöd, was published in 2006 and received the German Crime Prize, the Friedrich Glauser Prize and the Martin Beck Award. The novel sold more than one million copies, was translated into around 20 languages and adapted for film. Schenkel received the German Crime Prize again for her second novel, Kalteis (2007). Her other works include Bunker, Finsterau, Täuscher, Als die Liebe endlich war and Der Erdspiegel.
