Andrea Behnke

Andrea Behnke (born 1969) studied political science, English studies and journalism. After working as an employed editor in the media sector, she became a freelance journalist and author at the end of 1999. She has published numerous books for children and adults, including novels, stories for beginning readers, and texts for German learners and students with special educational needs. Her work often draws on historical events and biographies, while also including fictional stories and portraits. She has also written for publishers, radio, online media, memorial sites, museums and nonprofit organizations.
