Andrea Barrett

Andrea Barrett, born in Boston in 1954, grew up on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and studied zoology. After completing her studies, she turned to writing and received several major awards. Her collection of short stories, “Ship Fever,” won the National Book Award; she also received a MacArthur Fellowship and the Rea Award for the Short Story.
