Ana Garriga

Ana Garriga is a historian specializing in the early modern period in Spain and Latin America. She received her PhD from Brown University in 2024. Her dissertation on the letters of the nun Teresa of Ávila had previously received an award from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. In 2014, Garriga was awarded a Fulbright scholarship. In 2020, she co-founded the podcast Las hijas de Felipe with Carmen Urbita, which explores overlooked women’s stories from the Baroque period and the lives of nuns.
