Amy Tan

Amy Tan was born in 1952 in Oakland, California, to Chinese immigrant parents. She is an American writer. Her novels “Töchter des Himmels” and “Die Frau des Feuergottes” reached an international readership and were translated into 35 languages. Tan grew up in a family shaped by the history of her parents’ emigration from China.
