Amy Hempel

Amy Hempel is an American writer best known for her short stories. She has published several collections, including The Collected Stories of Amy Hempel (2007), as well as the German editions Was Uns Treibt and Die Ernte. Her stories have appeared in publications including GQ and Vanity Fair. She received the Rea Award in 2008 and the PEN/Malamud Award for Excellence in the Short Story in 2009.
