Amor Towles, born in 1964 in Boston, Massachusetts, studied at Yale University and Stanford University. He worked in finance and is the author of several novels. His debut, Rules of Civility, was published in 2011. A Gentleman in Moscow (2016) was a finalist for the Kirkus Prize in Fiction & Literature and was nominated for the International Dublin Literary Award. His other novels include The Lincoln Highway (2021) and Eve (2024). Towles’s work has been translated into more than thirty languages.
