Amia Srinivasan

Amia Srinivasan, born in 1984 in Bahrain, grew up in New York as the daughter of Indian parents. She studied at Yale University and earned a doctorate in philosophy at Corpus Christi College, Oxford. On 1 January 2020, she was appointed to Oxford’s Chichele Professorship of Social and Political Theory, previously held by Isaiah Berlin. She is known in part for her book *The Right to Sex*, published in German as *Das Recht auf Sex*.
