Amanda Hocking

Amanda Hocking (born 1984) initially worked as a nursing-home caregiver and published her novels independently. Between December 2010 and March 2011, she unexpectedly became a dollar millionaire through her self-published fiction. She subsequently sold the film rights to one of her trilogies and signed contracts with the US publisher St. Martin’s Press for several young adult series.
