Alok Vaid-Menon

Alok Vaid-Menon is an internationally recognized author, performer, public speaker, and mixed-media artist. Their work explores trauma, belonging, and the human experience. Their published books include „Femme in Public“ (2017), „Beyond the Gender Binary“ (2020), and „Your Wound/My Garden“ (2021). Vaid-Menon also initiated #DeGenderFashion, a movement for a fashion and beauty industry beyond gender identities. They were honored as one of HuffPost’s Culture Shifters and included in NBC’s Pride 50 and Business Insider’s Doers. Their performances have taken place at more than 600 events in 40 countries; in 2021, they headlined the New York Comedy Festival. Vaid-Menon has appeared on screen in „The Trans List“, „Random Acts of Flyness“, and „Getting Curious with JVN“.
