Almudena Grandes

Almudena Grandes (1960–2021) was a Spanish writer. She was born in Madrid and died there. Her books have been translated into more than 20 languages. Among other distinctions, she received the Premio Julián Besteiro for her body of work. In 2011, her novel “Inés and Joy” received the Premio Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. Her other notable novels include “The Enemy of My Father,” “Little Heroes,” and “The Three Weddings of Manolita.”
