Alma Katsu is an American author. She worked for the U.S. federal government for 29 years, including as a senior intelligence analyst for several federal agencies. Katsu studied literature and writing at Johns Hopkins University and Brandeis University, where John Irving was among her teachers. She became known especially for novels that combine horror with historical events, including The Taker, The Hunger, and The Fervor. Her work received a Bram Stoker Award and has been translated into nearly 20 languages.
