Alina Schadwinkel (born 1987) studied science journalism at TU Dortmund University. She worked as an editor in the science department of ZEIT ONLINE and at Die Zeit, served as deputy editor of the German edition of New Scientist, and headed the online editorial department of Spektrum.de. As an editor at ZEIT ONLINE, she was involved from the start in the sex-education podcast “Ist das normal?”. In 2014, she received the Georg von Holtzbrinck Prize for Science Journalism in the newcomer category. In 2017, she published a book about Nobel Prize winner Marie Curie.
