Alice Zeniter (born 1986) is a French author. After completing her schooling, she studied at the École normale supérieure in Paris and worked as a teacher and dramaturge, including for several years in Budapest. She gained international attention with her novel “The Art of Losing,” which was shortlisted for the Prix Goncourt and won the Prix Goncourt des Lycéens as well as the Dublin Literary Award in 2022. Her novel “Just Before Forgetting” received the Prix Renaudot. Her other publications include the novel “Power Plays” and the essay “A Whole Half of the World,” which examines the role of women in literature.
