Alfred Hornung

Alfred Hornung is a professor of American Studies at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. His academic work focuses on American literature from the nineteenth to the twenty-first century, transnational literatures and cultures, and life writing. He has taught as a visiting professor at universities in Europe, Canada, and China. Hornung is a founding member of the International Auto/Biography Association. In 2013, he received the Carl Bode-Norman Holmes Pearson Prize.
