Alexei Salnikow was born in Tartu in 1978. Before making his debut as a poet, he worked among other things as a mechanic, caretaker, plumber, journalist and translator. In 2018, his novel “Petrov Has a Fever” attracted considerable attention in Russia. The book has received several awards.
