Alexander Bartelt

Alexander Bartelt is a biochemist and molecular biologist. He earned his doctorate from the University of Hamburg and worked at Harvard University in the United States on the mechanisms of brown adipose tissue. His academic positions included a professorship in cardiovascular metabolism at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and leadership of a junior research group at the German Centre for Cardiovascular Research. His research focused on the molecular basis of obesity, diabetes, and atherosclerosis.
