Alessandro Barbero

Alessandro Barbero was born in Turin in 1959. He worked as a professor of medieval history and as an author. His first novel, *Das schöne Leben des Edelmannes Robert Pyle und die Kriege der anderen*, was published in 1996 and received the Premio Strega that year, one of Italy’s most prestigious literary awards.
