Alan Hollinghurst

Alan Hollinghurst was born in Stroud in 1954. He studied at Oxford and subsequently worked as a literary critic for the Times Literary Supplement. His literary work received several awards, including the Somerset Maugham Award and the 2004 Booker Prize for his novel The Line of Beauty.
