Ahmet Altan

Ahmet Altan (born 1950) is a Turkish writer and journalist. He has published novels and collections of essays and worked as a columnist for various Turkish media outlets. In 2007, he founded the newspaper Taraf. He received the Geschwister-Scholl Prize in 2019 and the French Prix Fémina Étranger in 2021 for his novel Hayat heißt Leben.
