Ahmed Saadawi

Ahmed Saadawi, born in Baghdad in 1973, is an Iraqi writer, screenwriter, and documentary filmmaker. He has published three novels and worked for several years as a BBC correspondent. For his novel Frankenstein in Baghdad, he became the first Iraqi author to receive the prestigious International Prize for Arabic Fiction. The book has been translated into numerous languages.
