adrienne maree brown, born in 1978, is an American author, doula, activist, and Black feminist. Her publications include the novel “Grievers” (2021) and the nonfiction works “Holding Change” (2021), “We Will Not Cancel Us and Other Dreams of Transformative Justice” (2020), and “Pleasure Activism” (2019). She also co-edited the anthologies “How to Get Stupid White Men Out of Office” (2019) and “Octavia’s Brood” (2015).
