Adam Hart-Davis is a chemist who studied at the universities of Oxford, York and Alberta. He worked as a presenter and producer of radio and television programmes on science, technology, mathematics and history. He also authored numerous books, including “Wissenschaft & Technik: Die illustrierte Weltgeschichte”, “Ingenieure: Auf den Spuren großer Erfinder und Konstrukteure”, “Geschichte: Die große Bild-Enzyklopädie” and “Das Buch der Zeit”. His work earned him numerous awards and 14 honorary doctorates.
