Aaron Sander was born in 1973 and grew up in northern Germany. He studied film and television dramaturgy and writes thrillers. His works include *Totenlichter*, the second novel in the series featuring Hamburg LKA investigator Jan Nygård and police psychologist Ann Wasmuth. He developed ideas for his novels during long walks in nature and sometimes withdrew to the woods to write.
