Reviewed by Monika The Many Deaths of Laila Starr ist als Graphic Novel für mich nahezu perfekt. Die Geschichte vereint Fantasy und Mythologie und fesselte mich schon mit den ersten Seiten. Es geht um den Tod, der nun, da die Menschheit dabei ist, Unsterblichkeit zu erlangen, überflüssig wird. Das Artwork ist sehr ansprechend und dynamisch. Am besten gefallen hat mir das Farbkonzept, es ist sehr bunt ohne je zu überfordern, es gibt in dem unterschiedlichen Handlungsteilen immer dominierende Farben, mal ein Verlauf vom Pinken ins Blaue, mal von einem Orangeton ins Türkise. Somit wirkt es künstlerisch sehr wertig und durchdacht und fügt sich gut in die von indischer Mythologie inspirierte Handlung.
