I ate this book up. The tension. The insults. I loved Vincent so much for his honesty and him just straight of telling her that he likes her. I loved how they fit together so perfectly. Loved this book.

I read „The Striker" first obviously and it was great. However I thought the story was a little bit to stretched out near the end. But I definitely liked „The Defender" more, because of the storyline and the characters. loved Brooklyn so much. The atmosphere was so so cool and the characters were so chill and lovable. This was a little bit not Ana Huang like as she, herself said in her Acknowledgement that this book is different from the writing - still wonderful- than her other books. I really enjoyed it and would recommend reading 4/5⭐️!
