Read this book within two days, it was that good. I loved the setting in the Outer Hebrides and how the descriptions of the nature and landscape of Lewis and Harris was a big theme within the book. The character of Fin did not spark particular empathy or sympathy within me but I think his ambivalence is intentional and my opinion on him might change during the course of the other books. The story was easy to follow and I did not see the plot twist coming, which is always nice when you read a crime fiction book.
