Beautifully written with some obvious exceptions of the vulgar parts.

norwegian wood screams nostalgia to me in every way. there was a passage in which I related to Watanabe so hard, it physically pained me what he experienced. no media ever did that

I didn't hate it. But I didn't like it either. The story itself felt so monotonous. I kept waiting for a twist, for a highlight but nothing came. The writing itself, great! But what the hell? Of course the death of Naoko was kind of sudden, maybe even unnecessary. What's up with all the suicides? And the sex with Reiko? Shortly before the sex scene happened, I actually thought to myself "It would be so weird if they did it" and it WAS weird. And then he called Midori? I'm so confused.
