I honestly have nothing good to say about this book, and that genuinely disappoints me. I was so excited for My Dark Desire. I was ready to order it, and when I randomly found it in my bookstore, I dropped another book just to get this one instead. That should’ve been a sign — because wow, that was a mistake. The story… I can’t even talk about it properly. It was just bad. Painfully predictable, forced, and completely lacking depth. Nothing surprised me, nothing felt earned, and I could see everything coming from a mile away. Somehow, it managed to be even worse than My Dark Romeo, which I didn’t think was possible. And the romance? Nonexistent. It felt insanely forced. They meet once — he threatens her and literally swings a knife/blade at her — and the second time they meet, they already want to sleep with each other. There is absolutely no buildup, no tension, no emotional connection. Just instant lust after violence. I don’t know how that’s supposed to be enjoyable as romance, because there is NONE! I really don’t like being this negative, but this book deserves it. Reading it felt like watching Oli London trying to be Jimin — uncomfortable, forced, and honestly just embarrassing. Now, the couple. I don’t even want to get into it, but here we are. Zach is a completely messed-up character — in every sense. His personality is a mess, his past is a mess, and while I can understand where his trauma comes from, it absolutely does not justify his actions. He literally tries to use Farrow to fix himself, then gets emotionally addicted to her. And that’s basically the entire plot. And can we talk about the pet name? He calls her “Octi,” short for “little octopus.” I wish I were joking. His so-called dirty talk is basically him stating random facts about octopuses. Not seductive. Not dark. Not romantic. Just awkward and unintentionally funny in the worst way possible. It completely ruined whatever little tension the book was trying to create. Farrow herself isn’t much better. She’s a mess too, but in a way that’s underwritten and exhausting rather than complex. I felt nothing for her — no connection, no sympathy, just frustration. By the end, I was skipping chapters and skimming pages. Not because it was slow, but because I just didn’t care anymore. The only reason I didn’t DNF was pure stubbornness — I hate not finishing books, and unfortunately this one tested that boundary hard. Overall, this book was a huge letdown. Overhyped, predictable, and emotionally empty. I wanted dark romance — instead, I got a messy, shallow story that tried way too hard and failed completely. I wasted my time, money and my sanity My first ever one star...

Ahh After waiting to meet Farrow and And Zac for a really long time now or a few month after finding out the book will be about this too i was super frexited to meet them A year ago I was lucky enough to to read the first book in the Series and had the pleasuer to meet Zac allready and he defenitly is interesting to read about. I'm so happy i gave this stunning and srong story a chance to win me over besides being sick. A fact i really enjoy when reading Co writes by Miss Shen and Miss S.Huntingen that i'm it feels harmonic or like it is written by more than one Auhtor. I just feel at home and Touched in both writng styles. These gave a complex Story with alot of Banter between the tow main characters. Wich made me laugh dispete the Serieous themes this book is about. In so many ways this book reminds me of Cinderella and it teaches us again how important it is to belive in your self. Creating a Story arc like this With bringing in some new Facts must not have been easy but in my opion it The Author Duo did an amazing Job wich totally touched me on a different level. I had my moents while reading where i wanted to cheer on the Characracters and than in the next i wanted to hug them. I fell in love with them from Page and was invested in characters and thiere ways of Life. The Thoughts and over and all the Emotions of this Characters where shown really interestting and catching for me. I understand their feelings and felt them so wild and raw. Also this book was kind ofdifferent from auhtors i read by this authors wich kept up my interest in the Story. Farrow i a real Gem. The young women is a person who allways sees the good in people but also has her dreams for which she fights. She also has her own kind of humor and way to deal problems. Zachary is a man who defneitly knows how do buissnes. He is also smart but also he calculates a lot of things. If he wants something he fights for it. He gets things done To conclude you can say thaz another Masterpeace by Miss Shen and Miss Parker stole my heart. This really touching and teaching stoy showed me interesting things and too me trough a ride that i can clearly recomend.
