Reviewed by Caroll-AnnI was eager to find out how Hazel’s story continues, and I ended up being pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the sequel, while I still prefer the first book in the series, this one was definitely good in its own right. Hazel is such a compelling character, and I especially appreciate her determination to pursue her ambitions in a time when women weren’t allowed to be surgeons. At moments, it made me genuinely angry to think about how many women had to face that reality, but it also highlights how important it is to acknowledge and discuss it. I’d definitely recommend giving the series a try.

Ein paar Aspekte sind etwas weit her geholt, wo man sich vielleicht realitätsnäheres gewünscht hätte. Dieser Band war aber definitiv besser im Gegensatz zum Vorgänger - schauen wir mal, was der nächste aus der Geschichte macht.
