Hot for Slayer

By Ali Hazelwood

Format:eBook

Hot for Slayer is a paranormal romance novella by Ali Hazelwood that invites readers into a world where vampires and slayers are locked in eternal conflict—until forbidden attraction shifts everything. The story centers on Aethelthryth, a centuries-old vampire carving out a quiet existence in modern-day Manhattan. Her life, shaped by secrecy, discipline, and the constant threat of her own nemesis, takes a wild turn when she encounters Lazlo Enyedi, a legendary vampire slayer who has lost all memory of their centuries-old feud. Instead of killing him, as history and logic demand, Ethel finds herself playing an unlikely caretaker: offering Lazlo sanctuary, sharing sudoku puzzles in her apartment, and grappling with the tension that simmers between them. As they navigate this forced proximity, their ancient animosity blurs into a yearning they can’t ignore. When Lazlo’s memories begin to return, both must confront the risk that passion, once ignited, can be as dangerous as any blade—or any supernatural past. Hazelwood balances sharp banter, slow-burn chemistry, and gothic undertones to deliver an addictive, humorous, and surprisingly poignant tale. The novella packs a punch in under 100 pages, combining wit, warmth, and just the right amount of heat, making it a perfect read for fans of enemies-to-lovers with a supernatural twist.

what a cozy little fast read! do i wish it was longer? yup! but it’s totally fine, sometimes it doesnt have to be long and deep! i think the length made it even more enjoyable, it just didn’t have that much impact on me cuz it was over so fast.
