Ich habe bis Seite 200 gelesen und gehört, also ca 25% des Buchs, aber ich war einfach so unfassbar genervt, dass ich mich entschieden habe abzubrechen. Ich verstehe den Hype um die komplette Serie überhaupt nicht, denn scheinbar werden die Bücher immer besser, was ich aber nicht bestätigen kann. Gefühlt dreht sich die Geschichte (zumindest in dem von mir gelesenen Viertel) nur im Kreis, Diem will sich ständig opfern und die anderen wollen sich für sie opfern. Diem ist so unglaublich naiv, verhält sich wie ein Kind und macht einfach nicht durchdachte Dinge und alle vertrauen ihr blind, schelten und bevormunden sie dann aber auch wie ein kleines Kind. Zudem fand ich es auch unglaublich nervig, wie rallig sie und Luther ständig aufeinander waren. Es gab zumindest in dem Teil keinen Spice, aber die Beschreibungen waren dermaßen überzogen, dass ich sie gerne geskippt habe (gefühlt jedes Mal wenn die beiden miteinander sprachen kamen Sätze nach dem Motto "seine warmen Hände auf meiner Haut, sein lodernder Blick"). Ich finde es schrecklich, daher maximal ein Stern. Was war positiv? Ich denke die Welt und die Storyline wären eine gute Grundlage für eine solide Fantasystory und ich mochte die Zusammenfassungen der beiden ersten (für mich ebenfalls unterdurchschnittlichen) Teile am Ende des Buchs.

Liebe diese Reihe so sehr! Auch in Band 3 passiert wieder so viel, weshalb sich die 850 Seiten zu keiner Zeit gezogen haben. Ich bin gespannt auf das Finale in Band 4!😍

4.75⭐️ what the actual fuck just happened????? First of all this book was so plot heavy I did not expect all that after reading the first and second book. Wdym… I genuinely don’t even know what to say. Diem definitely had the much needed character development (lwk a fan of hers now😝). She’s still a bit naive but nothing compared to the shit she pulled in book one and two. HER AND LUTHER?!?! No one will ever compare. This was actually insane I swear I did not expect all that. I despise the ignios king and lowkey all the crowns besides Umbros. She was also kinda in the wrong but she saw that and it was valid not like the others. Everyone’s taking Diems help and then they want to sell her out??? wtf???? Taran>>>>> missed him so much in the second half and Zalaric too. Loved them sm. So grateful I didn’t drop it after all and believe me I was very close to. So exited for the fourth book though I fear I’ll have to wait A WHILE 😞

I went into this book with high expectations, having truly enjoyed the first two installments of the series. It picked up right where the second book ended, and I was eager to learn more about the enemies or potential allies, their intentions, and the greater world they’re a part of. At first, it didn’t disappoint—the tension was high, and the stakes were clear. Throughout the story, there were breathtaking moments, twists, dramatic rescues, and near-heartbreaks—and actual heartbreaks. However, I couldn’t shake the feeling that a pattern was forming: the characters arrive somewhere new, face danger, someone nearly dies, more questions arise, and they narrowly escape — only to move on without real progress or allies. While I enjoy following the characters on their difficult journey, I began questioning whether all the trials were necessary, especially when they didn’t offer much growth in relationships or character arcs or plot development. The repetition made the pacing feel dragged out, and by the explosive—and slightly melodramatic—ending, I felt a bit emotionally exhausted rather than satisfied. Character-wise, I had mixed feelings. The fMC, unfortunately, didn’t show much progress. While I had hoped for evolution in her arc by this point in the series, she stayed stuck in the same patterns, which made her feel frustrating rather than compelling. But I enjoyed the little more noticeable development of the mMC even if his transformation wasn’t groundbreaking. However, the ever-expanding cast of side characters became overwhelming. Most of them lacked the depth or space for meaningful development, and while I enjoyed meeting them, I wished fewer were better explored. Same for the settings: I would’ve preferred fewer settings with more depth over a long list of partially explored locations. Compared to the earlier books, this installment felt unnecessarily long. The core storyline didn’t progress as much as I’d hoped. We’re introduced to more threats and enemies, but few—or none—existing ones are resolved, making the upcoming war feel increasingly implausible. However, the romantic subplot was a saving grace for me—tender, evolving, and deeply emotional. „I could have stayed there for an eternity, basking in the warmth of his love. He had a way of making me feel it—see it and touch it, nest it in my hands like a tangible thing.“ — couldn’t have said it better 💞 Final verdict: A solid addition to the series with emotional highs, strong worldbuilding, and compelling romance—but bogged down by repetitive pacing and limited story progression.

⭐️⭐️⭐️½ Das Buch hat mich jetzt wo ich es beendet habe mit gemischten Gefühlen da stehen lassen… Einerseits habe ich es extrem schnell gelesen, weil ich unbedingt wissen wollte, wie es weitergeht. Die Geschichte schafft es definitiv, Spannung aufzubauen, und das Worldbuilding wird deutlich erweitert. Man bekommt endlich mehr Hintergrundinformationen und ein besseres Verständnis für die größeren Zusammenhänge der Welt. Andererseits hat mich das Buch auch oft frustriert. Viele Szenen ziehen sich unnötig in die Länge, besonders durch wiederholte innere Monologe und Situationen, die sehr lange brauchen, um auf den Punkt zu kommen. Am meisten enttäuscht war ich von der Charakterentwicklung. Die Protagonistin wirkt über weite Strecken erstaunlich uneinsichtig und rennt immer wieder gegen dieselben offensichtlichen Probleme, ohne wirklich daraus zu lernen. Ihre Hauptlösung scheint fast immer Gewalt zu sein, obwohl sie eigentlich über so viel Macht und Potenzial verfügt. Das wurde für mich irgendwann eher anstrengend als spannend. Auch Luther bleibt leider sehr passiv und wirkt mehr wie ein treuer Begleiter ohne eigene Entwicklung oder Agenda. Insgesamt fühlt sich das Buch stark wie ein Übergangsband an: viel Aufbau, viele Enthüllungen, aber wenig emotionaler oder charakterlicher Payoff. Dass der nächste Band noch nicht erschienen ist, verstärkt dieses Gefühl leider zusätzlich. Trotz allem bin ich neugierig, wie es weitergeht, hoffe aber sehr auf mehr Entwicklung im nächsten Band.
