Rezension von DebbieSurprisingly, I liked it quite well. The story was intriguing. The FMC was hilariously sarcastic and nothing soft and innocent about her. The Spice scenes, well, I guess that's what sells the books these days. I thought them redundant to the story. I'm here for the fantasy, not he smut. A lot of people think that book 2 is better, I don't think so. But then, there's even more spice, so guess that's why

Rezension von Valkyriebetweenpages ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ich weiß gar nicht, wie ich dieses Buch beschreiben soll. Ich habe es wirklich geliebt. 🖤 Am Anfang hat es etwas gedauert, bis ich komplett drin war, aber je mehr ich gelesen habe, desto mehr hat mich die Geschichte gepackt. Vor allem Meryns Entwicklung fand ich unglaublich schön mitzuverfolgen. Sie ist nicht perfekt, sie macht Fehler, sie fühlt viel – aber genau das hat sie für mich so besonders gemacht. Ich konnte viele ihrer Emotionen nachvollziehen und habe richtig mit ihr mitgefühlt. Es gab Momente, wo ich einfach nur dachte: „Ich verstehe dich.“ Die Welt, die Charaktere und besonders die Beziehungen zwischen den Figuren haben mir richtig gut gefallen. Ich liebe es, wenn ein Buch nicht nur von der Romance lebt, sondern auch von Freundschaften und dieser Found-Family-Dynamik. Es gab einige Überraschungen, mit denen ich nicht gerechnet habe, und genau das liebe ich an Fantasy-Büchern. Ich hatte viele Theorien und lag mit einigen komplett falsch 😂 Der Spice war natürlich auch ein kleines Highlight 👀 Für mich definitiv ein Buch, das im Kopf bleibt. Ich freue mich jetzt sehr darauf, direkt mit dem nächsten Teil weiterzumachen. 🐺✨
Rezension von NezIch wollte dieses Buch wirklich lieben. Denn die Welt hatte so großes Potenzial … doch es wurde einfach nicht ausgeschöpft. Die Plottwists waren sehr vorhersehbar und die spannenden Themen und Charaktere wurden nur oberflächlich angeschnitten, was ich sehr Schade fand. Die Hauptprotagonistin hat mich außerdem sehr genervt, weil sie auf der einen Seite so schlau und empathisch ist, auf der anderen aber dumme Entscheidungen trifft (auch für ihr Alter). Ein letzter Kritikpunkt: mir hat es an Originalität gefehlt, da man viele Themen oder auch Twists aus bereits beliebten Romantasy-Reihen kannte (FW, Acotar, …). Schade.
