Girl Friends

By Holly Bourne

Format:Hardcover

"Men see women in two separate categories. There are the women they sleep with, and the women they fall in love with. And they will treat you differently based on that." From the day they first meet as teenagers, Fern and Jessica are best friends. Despite their differences, they are there for each other through everything. That is until Jessica crosses a line that Fern can't forgive. Now they haven't seen each other for more than ten years when Jessica unexpectedly arrives back in Fern's life. A lot has changed for them both - but can things really be that different between them now they are older? Or will their shared history ultimately be doomed to repeat itself again? Set between the present day and past, GIRL FRIENDS is a smart funny novel: both a joyful celebration of female friendship and a razor-sharp look at the damage we can all cause to those we claim to love the most.

Wow When I first started it , I didn't particularly like it that much cause in my opinion it was too new for me. Like there were bare new stuff mentioned like tiktok, Instagram and all that I didn't like that. But as I got to read and the whole getting back in time. I started enjoying it. Tbh I didn't like Fern that much. But I did like Jessica a lot. It was just Fern was to insecure. Maybe I didn't like Fern because I could relate to her and exactly didn't want to relate to her. I liked Jessica (before the whole boy stuff started). She seemed so cool. Confident in herself like we all should be. And never ever would I have guessed she was hurting. In my head she was just a terrible friend but I always defended her, which is very weird. But I liked her more than Fern. We saw all of this take place in Ferns sight and Jessica was the bad person. I would've never guessed that Jessica was someway hurting. I was so shocked and cried because she was right. These boys were really taking advantage of her. I feel so bad she was hurting so much, juste like Fern. For me nobody was hurting more than the other. They were both hurting individually. I'm so glad they made it through. Everything they actually needed was a conversation. I'm crying Jessica's 10 reasons to hold on for tomorrow was so cute. Please and the fact that Ferns possible answer to her email would be her reason to hold on for tomorrow. I love her so much. Even Fern I think the problem lies by the fact I can relate to her. But I love her too and am glad that she's growing. man can’t ever understand a woman like another woman can – especially the women who knew you as a girl. Ps: I'm so glad I figured out beforehand that the whole Ben Jessica thing, was just Jessica getting Ben to propose to Fern. I knew. I was crying cause of the whole Jessica thing and laughing because I guessed it right. I love my two girls so much!!! I'll miss them so much. I feel like I know them personally
